সূরা গাফির আয়াত ৯ (৪০:৯) — Surah Ghafir Verse 40:9
وَقِهِمُ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ ۚ وَمَن تَقِ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ فَقَدْ رَحِمْتَهُۥ ۚ وَذَٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْعَظِيمُ
উচ্চারণ: waqihimu l-sayiāti waman taqi l-sayiāti yawma-idhin faqad raḥim'tahu wadhālika huwa l-fawzu l-ʿaẓīmu
প্রচলিত বাংলা অনুবাদ: সমস্ত খারাবী থেকে তাদেরকে রক্ষা কর। সেদিন তুমি যাকে সমস্ত খারাবী থেকে রক্ষা করলে, তার উপর তো দয়াই করলে। ওটাই হল বিরাট সাফল্য।
Conventional English Translation: And protect them from the evil consequences [of their deeds]. And he whom You protect from evil consequences that Day - You will have given him mercy. And that is the great attainment."
শব্দ ও রূট বিশ্লেষণ: وَقِهِمُ السَّيِّئَاتِ (wa qihimu s-sayyi'āt): and protect them from evils; الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ: the supreme success/triumph.

- فَقَدْ (faqad) — তাহ'লে নিশ্চয়ই / then certainly
- رَحِمْتَهُۥ ۚ (raḥim'tahu) — তাকে অনুগ্রহ করবে / You have bestowed mercy upon him. [রূট: رحم]
- وَذَٰلِكَ (wadhālika) — এবং এটা / And that
- هُوَ (huwa) — সেই / is
- ٱلْفَوْزُ (l-fawzu) — সাফল্য / the attainment / triumph [রূট: فوز]
- ٱلْعَظِيمُ (l-ʿaẓīmu) — মহা" / supreme." [রূট: عظم]
