সূরা গাফির আয়াত ১৮ (৪০:১৮) — Surah Ghafir Verse 40:18
وَأَنذِرْهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْـَٔازِفَةِ إِذِ ٱلْقُلُوبُ لَدَى ٱلْحَنَاجِرِ كَـٰظِمِينَ ۚ مَا لِلظَّـٰلِمِينَ مِنْ حَمِيمٍۢ وَلَا شَفِيعٍۢ يُطَاعُ
উচ্চারণ: wa-andhir'hum yawma l-āzifati idhi l-qulūbu ladā l-ḥanājiri kāẓimīna mā lilẓẓālimīna min ḥamīmin walā shafīʿin yuṭāʿu
প্রচলিত বাংলা অনুবাদ: তাদেরকে সতর্ক কর সেই ঘনিয়ে আসা দিন সম্পর্কে যখন ওষ্ঠাগত প্রাণ নিয়ে তারা দুঃখ-কষ্ট সংবরণ করবে। যালিমদের জন্য কোন অন্তরঙ্গ বন্ধু থাকবে না, এমন কোন সুপারিশকারীও থাকবে না যার কথা গ্রহণ করা হবে।
Conventional English Translation: And warn them, [O Muhammad], of the Approaching Day, when hearts are at the throats, filled [with distress]. For the wrongdoers there will be no devoted friend and no intercessor [who is] obeyed.
শব্দ ও রূট বিশ্লেষণ: يَوْمَ الْآزِفَةِ (yawma l-āzifah): the Day of approaching catastrophe; لَدَى الْحَنَاجِرِ: at the throats; كَاظِمِينَ: suppressing distress; حَمِيمٍ: intimate friend.

- كَـٰظِمِينَ ۚ (kāẓimīna) — দুঃখ-কষ্টে / choking [with distress]. [রূট: كظم]

- لِلظَّـٰلِمِينَ (lilẓẓālimīna) — সীমালঙ্ঘনকারীদের জন্যে (থাকবে) / for the wrongdoers [রূট: ظلم]
- مِنْ (min) — কোনো / any
- حَمِيمٍۢ (ḥamīmin) — অন্তরঙ্গ / intimate friend, [রূট: حمم]
- وَلَا (walā) — আর না / nor
