সূরা আল-কলম আয়াত ৪৮ (৬৮:৪৮) — Surah Al-Qalam Verse 68:48
فَٱصْبِرْ لِحُكْمِ رَبِّكَ وَلَا تَكُن كَصَاحِبِ ٱلْحُوتِ إِذْ نَادَىٰ وَهُوَ مَكْظُومٌۭ
উচ্চারণ: fa-iṣ'bir liḥuk'mi rabbika walā takun kaṣāḥibi l-ḥūti idh nādā wahuwa makẓūmun
প্রচলিত বাংলা অনুবাদ: কাজেই তুমি তোমার প্রতিপালকের হুকুমের জন্য ধৈর্য ধরে অপেক্ষা কর, আর মাছওয়ালা [ইউনুস (আঃ)] এর মত (অধৈর্য) হয়ো না। স্মরণ কর যখন সে (তার প্রতিপালককে ডাক দিয়েছিল চিন্তায় দুঃখে আচ্ছন্ন হয়ে।
Conventional English Translation: Then be patient for the decision of your Lord, [O Muhammad], and be not like the companion of the fish when he called out while he was distressed.
শব্দ ও রূট বিশ্লেষণ: كَصَاحِبِ الْحُوتِ: the Prophet Yunus (Jonah) swallowed by the marine creature; مَكْظُومٌ: overwhelmed by restrained anguish and somatic distress.

- ٱلْحُوتِ (l-ḥūti) — মাছ / the fish [Jonah], [রূট: حوت]
- إِذْ (idh) — যখন / when
- نَادَىٰ (nādā) — শসে ডেকেছিল / he called out [রূট: ندو]
- وَهُوَ (wahuwa) — এবং সে / while he
- مَكْظُومٌۭ (makẓūmun) — বিষণ্ণ ছিল / [was] distressed [choked with grief]. [রূট: كظم]
