সূরা সাবা আয়াত ১৪ (৩৪:১৪) — Surah Saba Verse 34:14
فَلَمَّا قَضَيْنَا عَلَيْهِ ٱلْمَوْتَ مَا دَلَّهُمْ عَلَىٰ مَوْتِهِۦٓ إِلَّا دَآبَّةُ ٱلْأَرْضِ تَأْكُلُ مِنسَأَتَهُۥ ۖ فَلَمَّا خَرَّ تَبَيَّنَتِ ٱلْجِنُّ أَن لَّوْ كَانُوا۟ يَعْلَمُونَ ٱلْغَيْبَ مَا لَبِثُوا۟ فِى ٱلْعَذَابِ ٱلْمُهِينِ
উচ্চারণ: falammā qaḍaynā ʿalayhi l-mawta mā dallahum ʿalā mawtihi illā dābbatu l-arḍi takulu minsa-atahu falammā kharra tabayyanati l-jinu an law kānū yaʿlamūna l-ghayba mā labithū fī l-ʿadhābi l-muhīni
প্রচলিত বাংলা অনুবাদ: অতঃপর আমি যখন সুলাইমানের মৃত্যু ঘটালাম, তখন ঘুণে পোকাই জ্বিনদেরকে তার মৃত্যু সম্পর্কে অবহিত করল, তারা (ধীরে ধীরে) সুলাইমানের লাঠি খেয়ে যাচ্ছিল। যখন সে পড়ে গেল তখন জ্বিনেরা বুঝতে পারল যে, তারা (নিজেরা) যদি অদৃশ্য বিষয় সম্পর্কে অবগত থাকত তাহলে তাদেরকে লাঞ্ছনাদায়ক শাস্তির মধ্যে পড়ে থাকতে হত না।
Conventional English Translation: And when We decreed for Solomon death, nothing indicated to the jinn his death except a creature of the earth eating his staff. But when he fell, it became clear to the jinn that if they had known the unseen, they would not have remained in humiliating punishment.
