সূরা আত-ত্বালাক আয়াত ৮ (৬৫:৮) — Surah At-Talaq Verse 65:8
وَكَأَيِّن مِّن قَرْيَةٍ عَتَتْ عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهَا وَرُسُلِهِۦ فَحَاسَبْنَـٰهَا حِسَابًۭا شَدِيدًۭا وَعَذَّبْنَـٰهَا عَذَابًۭا نُّكْرًۭا
উচ্চারণ: waka-ayyin min qaryatin ʿatat ʿan amri rabbihā warusulihi faḥāsabnāhā ḥisāban shadīdan waʿadhabnāhā ʿadhāban nuk'ran
প্রচলিত বাংলা অনুবাদ: কত জনপদ তাদের প্রতিপালকের আর তাঁর রসূলদের হুকুম অমান্য করেছে। ফলে আমরা তাদের থেকে কঠিনভাবে প্রতিশোধ নিয়েছি আর তাদেরকে ‘আযাব দিয়েছি কঠিন ‘আযাব।
Conventional English Translation: And how many a city was insolent toward the command of its Lord and His messengers, so We took it to severe account and punished it with a terrible punishment.
